Cookie Policy
Cookies and similar technologies used by ZeroLapse.
01Overview
ZeroLapse uses cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in, keep the service secure, and remember your preferences. This policy explains the categories we may use and how to control them.
02What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, and software development kit identifiers. They can support login, security, preferences, diagnostics, analytics, and marketing.
03Categories ZeroLapse may use
| Category | Purpose | Choice |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Authentication, session continuity, security, load balancing, fraud prevention, and core service operation. | Required for the service. |
| Preferences | Remember permitted choices such as interface or notification preferences. | May be controlled in the service or browser. |
| Diagnostics / analytics | Understand performance, failures, and feature use. Deployed only when accurately disclosed and, where required, consented. | Optional where law or implementation requires consent. |
| Marketing | Measure campaigns or personalise advertising. ZeroLapse does not use these unless later deployed and disclosed. | Optional; requires appropriate choice. |
04Third parties
Some service providers may set or read cookies when their services are embedded or used, including authentication, payment, hosting, security, support, and monitoring providers. A redirect to Stripe or another provider is governed by that provider’s own notice.
05Your choices
You can control cookies through browser settings and any consent tool provided by ZeroLapse. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent sign-in or core features. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal. “Do Not Track” signals are not uniformly standardised; ZeroLapse describes any supported signal only after technical verification.
06Changes and contact
We may update this Policy when technology or providers change. Questions can be sent to hello@zerolapse.co.nz or via our contact page.
